Award from the Prime Minister

Holly is the latest recipient of a Point of Light award, which recognises outstanding individual volunteers, people who are making a change in their community and inspiring others.

Prime Minister David Cameron said; Holly is the 215th winner of the Points of Light award which has been developed in partnership with the hugely successful Points of Light programme in the USA and was first established by President George H. W. Bush.

“I believe there is much to gain by giving your time to a worthy cause, it has such a huge impact on your own happiness, well being and outlook on life. You build skills you never dreamed possible, have loads of fun, and make friends from all walks of life, all united in a belief that you have a moral obligation to make the world a better place and a desire for change. All of this, whilst helping improve the lives of others.”
